Every time your yacht enters, shifts or leaves an Indonesian port, the harbourmaster expects to see her papers in order.
Port clearance — the PPKK, granted through the syahbandar or harbourmaster’s office — is the running record of your vessel’s lawful movement through Indonesian waters. It is required on arrival at your first port, again each time you move between ports, and once more when you finally clear out of the country. At Benoa, Bali’s principal yacht gateway, and at the smaller harbours beyond, we present your documents, complete the formalities and keep your clearance current, so the vessel is never caught between ports without the authority to move.
Clearance at Benoa and beyond
Benoa is the natural point of arrival for most yachts cruising to Bali, and its harbourmaster’s office is where your inbound clearance is completed. Yet the obligation does not end there: each subsequent port — whether Lombok, the Gili islands, Komodo or further east — has its own syahbandar who will expect to log your arrival and grant clearance to depart. We manage the paperwork at Benoa and coordinate the onward clearances, so your itinerary flows without a stalled formality.
Arrival, movement and departure
Indonesian port procedure treats a yacht’s voyage as a sequence of cleared legs. You clear in on arrival, obtain a port clearance — often called a sailing approval — before moving to the next harbour, and clear out formally when leaving Indonesian waters. A missing link in that chain is what strands crews at the dock. We keep every leg documented and lodged in good time, so your vessel always holds the current authority to sail.
Port documents
Port clearance rests on a familiar set of papers — we prepare and present them at each office.
Individual harbours occasionally ask for additional detail — we anticipate local requirements so nothing delays your departure.
